    Short story,
    bought my laptop 6-10-2009,
april 2010 my gfx card overheated cause of a broken gpu fan. they both got replaced.
oktober 2010, random shutdowns like once a week, sometimes right after boot and screen spacing. see pic
    [IMG]
after atleast 20 emails and numerous phonecalls got my gfx card replaced. Did not solve it.
another dozen of mails and phonecalls, laptop was picked up, changed gfx card again and it was send back, with a repair log saying everything worked.
So I was happy reading it, turned it on, Hmm no Aero, so rebooting, checking bios for gfx settings. all seemed fine, device manager: no gfx card, only the onboard thing.
calling again, would recieve a new laptop since its all under warrancy, and I was allowed to take out my old Hd and ram and put it in my new laptop.
24 nov, recieved my new laptop, changed the parts, and all worked again.
3 weeks later again same screen artifacts, gfx card replaced,
9 days after the new gfx card, again. So I directly mailed the person who arranged for the new laptop and this was the responce

I turned the hardware accelaration and removed the memory from my old laptop (this was the only constant factor in both laptops).
Yesterday the laptop worked, but since the crashes happen from 0-3 times a week its hard to believe its solved now.

is there anyone else who had the same issue? or knows how i can get this fixed?

So do you still have the M17x model (first one released by Dell).
Tell us what's your CPU model.

Yesterday my new 4*2 memory modules arrived, put them in so I was back at 8 Gb.
Second day and my laptop still has not crashed, it could just be luck or it was really bad memory or a error in flash player, which dell failed to detect 5 times.
If it was the flash player, maybe put it up somewhere incase others get the same problems.
Can only test it for a few hours a day cause I work tomuch :p

    That's great, hava.
If you encounter the same problem, try uninstalling flash completely, reinstall an older version and then update.
