Oh I also got the 3% EPP discount and the 10 percent discount from they're website. I'm not sure if the rep put those discounts on this quote.

What do you guys think, did i get a good deal or am i being taken for a ride? The price is abit more expensive then i had hoped, but thats because i've got the 3 year accidental.

Is there anything I should change about the build? or anything else i should try to haggle down?

What brand of ram should I get to upgrade from 4 GB to 16 GB.?

how much of a discount did you get?...13% off? That's pretty good for a new machine. Anything above 10% is excellent

if you can spare the extra $200, get the 6990m

The rest of the computer looks solid :D

Nice computer there, but the 2nd gen i7 CPUs are plenty powerful. Get the lowest CPU option you possibly can and then upgrade the graphics cards. Trust us. This is something you will just end up upgrading in the future anyway, might as well do it now.

Alright thanks, What do you guys think of resellers? For instance This ALIENWARE M17x R3 i7-2760QM 3.5GHz 16GB 1.5TB BLUETOOTH NVIDIA GTX 560M 1080p | eBay

Is off of ebay and its basically the same comp with bigger HDDS and it costs around $400 less. OH and 16 GB 1600 mhz Memory.

Originally I was going to get a gtx 580m, but after some research I think that It would be overkill because I'm only going to be playing Wow, Swtor, Sc2, Diablo 3 on this labtop. All of these games have low gpu requirements so I think that the gtx 560m will be fine (although tell me if i'm wrong).

Other then that I'll be using Maya, mudbox and photoshop and from what i've read the gtx 560 runs well with maya (as well does the gtx 580m)

Yeah I felt the same way originally, but with the large price difference and i can return it in 14 days if its not in the condition stated its almost hard to turn down.

i have a gtx 460m overclocked to 560m speeds in an Asus G73. The 460m/560m is essentially the same card with the 560m running at higher clocks. The Gpu is decent, but it has problems running the lastest triple A titles @ 1920x1080. If you don't mind dropping the resolution and/or graphical settings, then the 560m will be fine.

Yeah i understand that it obviously isn't the best card, but will it run the games I listed on high/ultra with problems?
