Check to make sure that LoL is set to run with the R9 M290X and not the Intel Graphics. If you installed 14.4 or 14.6 you should have AMD Catalyst Control installed. Open that up, go to power settings, and application switching. Global settings should be set to High Performance when plugged in. Also, there should be power settings by application. Make sure LoL legends is set to High Performance.

LoL isn't graphical intense so the R9 M290X should have no issues, it's most likely Enduro...

Alternatively, you can press function and I think F5 and just turn off Intel graphics. That may be the easiest

Umgh, you have to go to AMD Catalyst control centre and under switchable graphics see what LOL is set to use.. You have to set it to high performance. Otherwise press FN+F7 (the F button which has I/D GFX written on it) to manually switch and keep using the R9 290MX..

Through the AMD Catalyst Control Center. I'd take a few screenies but I'm not home right now. Just try and follow what I said above or just do function F5 and turn the Intel Graphics off. It will require a reboot after you press function F5 and it will tell you.
