    Hi im new to the forums. My m17x is will be here soon and am just looking for some constructive criticism on the specs to my laptop. I did my research before building my alienware with dell but im hoping your criticism will strengthen what i know already and give me ideas of stuff i dont know already. Below is all the spec

    I also bought Astro a40s (white) + the chat cable to use on pc. A razer deathadder infared gaming mouse and a targus lap chill mat to help the heat.

    grats on the new R4. i just got mine a few days ago.. love it.. except for some keyboard issues.. dell is overnighting me a new keyboard :cool:

    nice set up. you should stick with the 6gb ram and buy more memory elsewhere cheaper and then you could upgrade the processor to at least a 3720qm.. mine's overclocked to 3.8ghz.. same for the hard drive.. stick with the included 500gb hdd and get a ssd online somwhere..
    the only upgrades i think are worth doing through dell are the cpu/gpu/screen
    everything else can be purchased elsewhere much cheaper. more bang for the buck. just call dell and tell them the configuration is wrong and they'll resubmit it again.. you'll save some money and get a faster processor ;)
