Ok so I worked on tweaking this quite a bit yesterday, and want to know how it compares to others you have seen or done yourself as far as the precision of the lights with the music.

Search ingrater winamp plugin.
If anyone has any tips to make it even better let me know! -
By the way, which software are you using to play with AlienFX? -
wow that was awesome ^.^! i tried syncing the lighting with a song in winamp but i failed epicly
any tutorial would be nice

If you bring up the visualizer it makes it alot easier to see which frequencies are going over.
So you will have your green bars during music game play, every time one of those goes over your set frequency you light on your keyboard will activate.
So by setting each zone to a specific set of frequencies you can confine the lights to kind of sync better.
And example. If you set your right side of your keyboard to frequencies 1-4 which would be the first scroll bar, you wont mix it in with others. So when you raise or lower that bar your only affecting that zone.
So what I did was set each zone to a designated 4 frequencies, which is 1 scroll bar each. This way it looks more precise than having a jumbled up mess going off at random.
And you can raise and lower the bars while the music is playing, and if the visualizer is up at the same time you can see where to place each limit to effect each song better.
You do this because some songs have more bass, and some more trebble. So as I have it my number pad is the bass, so when I play dubstep on it my number pad lights up more, all the way up to my vents and touch pad being treble. Hence why they light up to the keys being played.
Im sure I made this sound ultra confusing so sorry if I did, it is quite a confusing process without seeing yourself.
Regardless having the frequency visualizer up while playing the music seems to help with how spot on the lights are as well. As a side note. -
Let me know if I can help anyone else out with this.
Hey Nature did that help you at all? Or just confuse you?
If you guys watch the video please be sure to spread and or like it thanks! Trying to get a partnership with youtube. -

i made it work at the first attempt and it is really cool. Only thing is that once i close winamp AlienFX doesn't reset back as it was.
Do you know any way to achieve this? no info on the Readme file that comes with the plugin
EDIT: nevermind, fn+F11 to swich off and on again alienFX will reset it as it was -
i downloaded from dell's website the update for command center and it worked well for me, im still getting used on how manipulate the config and everything.
thanks for your help guys! -
Podunks, any chance of a screenshot of your settings please? I think it would be far easier to mimic that than to use trial and error.
-
what numbers and ranges did you use for each section? That's a pretty good setup you have there.
-
I am looking into it.
I was using the iTunes but the frequencies are too wide. That ended up the color isn't that nice
I believe this doesn't work for m14x right? -
yea that would be nice if you could upload your config podpunks i like it a lot and would help us out as well
also if anyone else has a zone setup/config that they would like to share it would be appreciated -
thanks for your help
-
could you share the config/settings.xml please i cant get it to have it spot on like yours
-
I got it to work in iTunes.
