Ugh, i'm really starting to regret buying this m17x, but maybe it's just windows 8 .

1st) my screen just inverts randomly, and the only way i know to fix this is restarting, but i just tried it now and it didn't work. I'll provide a screenshot.

    2) I keep getting a KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error, which crashes my comp. it's happened on average 3 times a day since i got my system. I've got all my drivers upgraded and everything and can't pinpoint the problem at all cos it's so random. though most recently it happened when i plugged in my mouse.

    3) My internet was working fine earlier with 100+ mbps, now everytime i try to connect to a network i get a checking network requirements dialog, and then it says i can't connect. Right now i'm using my ethernet cable to connect but portable gaming = i want to be able to connect to wifi. and it's campus internet i can't really reset the router.

Okay. i managed to fix it by changing my screen resolution and then changing it back to 1920x1080. I just noticed the screenshot turned out normal so i guess it's just a problem with my screen.

Yeah I would recommend clean install of windows 8, also looks like the scale of your screen is wrong.
Go to control panel and 'change size of all items' under display and drop it to 100%, it defalts to 125% which is annoying.
Sounds like you might have ease of acess inverting the colours randomly sometimes I guess.

I also found out the 3rd problem wasn't on my side, they had a problem with campus internet. Now my only problem is the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE one again.

To clean install w8 pro, i'd have to reformat again?.. just got this computer 3 days ago so i doubt it'd make a difference?

KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE looks to be a Windows 8 specific error. A clean install may or may not fix it. Might have to get in touch with Microsoft and see what fix they have for the issue (famous last words).

This could be a good way to fix it.
