    Setup Guide (thanks to steviejones133)

    1. Uninstall CCC via choosing uninstall manager and select everything. Remove. (chose this opposed to express uninstall as I didnt like the sound of anything "express"....)

    2. Check in Device Manager that you are back to Standard VGA Drivers.

    3. If not back at VGA, uninstall/remove devices manually via device manager. This should get back to VGA.

    4. Reboot into safe mode (dont boot normally at this stage) - run Driver sweeper in safe mode for Ati Display only (run as admin - important)

    5. Re-run driver sweeper whilst in safe mode (again and as admin and for Ati Display only - should come up with nothing to clean after analyzing)

    6. Run CCleaner for both clean up and registry in safe mode.

    7. Repeat step 6.

Restart normally to windows - will look awful 'cos of the resolution/vga drivers!

    8. Re-run driver sweeper (admin)

    9. Re-run CCleaner

By this stage, everything should be totally nuked. Gone. See ya later.

    10. Install chosen driver package....Dont choose custom install....

    11. Sit back and enjoy.

Guide to get Crysis 2 (Retail) working under CrossFire mode

    1. Download and install Catalyst 11.3 WHQL from above, or you can use 11.4 preview driver as well. use Stevie's guide for those not familiar with driver cleaning and setup.

    2. Download and install 11.3 CAP1 from link above (not yet available from amd)

    3. IMPORTANT: Rename Crysis2.exe from your installation folder to Fear.exe.

    4. Run the game by double clicking Fear.exe.

    5. Notice flickering is totally gone and framerate is higher than using bioshock profile. Enjoy.

Note: Steam users only need 11.3 CAP1 + catalyst 11.3 combo to get Crysis2 working. no need to rename the exe.

Drivers are up on the AMD/ATI site: ATI Catalyst Mobility Display Driver. The driver version should be 8.831, and supposedly will support the "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6900M Series of Products". (This may not include the 6970M in the R3, depending on the device IDs in question.)

    Release notes are also up.

no drivers available currently is able to address crysis 2 issues, not even the 11.4 preview drivers. we have to wait for CAP2. CAP1 was created on 22nd march, meaning it missed crysis 2 launce date, let alone the patch date.

incorrect....dells hardware ID is not in this release unless someone Mods it. furthermore, if you do a full download, there is no \packages\drivers folder. I think this is a CCC update only and includes no new drivers.

let me explain further..... you download the 1.1mb file and it asks you where to install the drivers....then it says "screw you, you dont have a supported card" (im paraphrasing). if you go to the individual download tab and download the CCC, it only has CCC and no drivers folder. So what we need is a full modded download. anyone got any ideas.

i've tested it myself. u need to rename crysis2.exe to fear.exe and together with CAP11.3, the framerate is higher than without CAP11.3 or renaming it to bioshock.exe. most importantly, flickering party is gone. all tested under extreme settings

Well I didnt' try 11.3 but updated last night to 11.4. Nice jump in performance from 11.2. Anyone notice performance increase with 11.3? I have a feeling I am going to stick with the 11.4 beta until the official release and then maybe update again. 11.2 were working very well and 11.4 gave even more of a boost.

You mean these little beggars right here? ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver ;)

Straight from the preverbial "horses mouth"....

Dunno why so many people say these links dont work with the 1.1mb file - ive NEVER had a problem with 'em. Good to have a direct link though for those who encounter issues with the 1.1mb downloader direct from AMD.

If you use 1.1 MB Online installer, it will download the very same 86.41 MB offline installer from AMD website. Thus, why should you bother downloading the online installer?

Just skip the step of downloading the 1.1 MB online installer. The direct links I provided is direct from AMD and contains the drivers, CCC2, Avivo and so on. It is a complete unmodified package. :D

In the release notes of 11.3 it says
    "Important ! Caution !

    * The AMD display driver and the AMD Catalyst Control Center can be downloaded independently of each other. However, for better stability and performance AMD recommends that both components be updated from the same AMD Catalyst release."

Does it mean its telling me to use the 86.41MB setup file (which includes both these components right? ccc+drivers) to install both CCC and drivers rather do two separate installations.

If I am not mistaken, you should use 86.41MB setup file. Upon installing that, your driver and CCC2 will be now updated. Why waste your effort downloading and installing 2 separate packages, which, as AMD states, may lead to instability?

Trust me, the direct links is a legitimate link direct from AMD and what you are downloading from those links is direct from AMD, original and unmodified.

Little confused now. I get your point and i know the links you have put here are legitimate. But before u posted the download links i had already downloaded the setup file from AMD using their download manager which is 1.1mb. But by doing this i am not downloading two separate packages am i? Its going to download the same file as the link you posted. That is what i wanted to know. The file i got from AMD is 11-3_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl (86.41MB)
So this setup has both drivers and ccc right? My question was and is that the 11-3_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl (setup file from the link u gave and the one direct from AMD using the download manager) has both components that AMD recommends to install together ??

Yes, it is the same file I am suggesting: 11-3_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe, 86.41 MB. It contains everything (driver, CCC2, HydraVision Package, AMD Media Codec Package), except probably HDMI audio driver.

ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver contains individual downloads. It is recommended not to use this link. The probable reason to mix and match different versions of AMD display driver and the AMD Catalyst Control Center from separate packages is that you may want to test it for overclocking, to see if different combination may yield better performance. If that is so, you must know what you are doing.

I found that in order to get the HDMI drivers to install along with CCC and the driver, a slight alteration was required. Basically it involved getting the WDM file from the Dell drivers BEFORE running the AMD installer.

Basically, download and run the AMD installer from either Dell 8.763 or Desktop AMD drivers but cancel out of it, navigate to the AMD drivers folder and open them up and insert the WDM file. This way, the HDMI audio driver gets installed with the CCC and video drivers.

Thanks to Alex for assisting me with this one as it did drive me nuts for a while as the mobility package does not include a HDMI driver by default.

You can read how to do this procedure below (I started a thread about it a while ago because it was doing my head in lol) its quite simple really.
