    NEED HELP! Wifi keeps connecting and dropping signal every 5-10 seconds

    So after a ton of frustration installing the drivers after a fresh windows install my laptop won't keep a steady signal. Earlier at my cousins house he fixed it and the computer had no problems, took it home and immediately started having connection issues. I took my router back and replaced it with a better one, same problem. Oddly enough when I directly connect to the modem... It crashes and won't boot last the windows screen, it's happened twice now where I've had to boot from safe and return to it's previous setup with a system recovery... Any one have a fix for this.. Getting so frustrated with the computer now

    Try disabling the Ethernet setting ' sleep on standby ' that might not be the exact name. Im doing this post from memory. Anyways that setting can mess with certain wireless cards. good luck
