got my technical update this morning, 197.52 drivers for the GTX 285 gpu's are officially up.

    Drivers and Downloads

was hoping for some verde 2xx.xx series drivers, since 197s are pretty old(7 months old to be exact), but fingers crossed that reference nvidia drivers will work, and double fingers crossed that they're compatible with FF14.

Order status is still in production for me. Eye've got my eye on you dell. D=

Will these work on R1 with 280m?

my jerk reaction would be to say yes, but considering the differences between the R2 and R1 I would say no.They should install fine, but I can't comment on whether they'd be stable or not.

Yes. The INF supports the GPUs the R1 has. So it will install without issue.

The INF file supports the following GPUs -

Does this driver have the DPC latency code change? I don't know as I have not had time to test it. Have fun. :)
