Hey there, M17x enthusiasts :) Do you possess any info about NVIDIA 3D VISION 2 support in the new M17xR3 versions? The next-gen glasses proved to be a major leap forward compared to the older revision. Here's the review.

The great thing, of course, should be the support of 3D light boost + reduced 3D ghosting of the new display, i wonder if Dell decides to implement this features in their laptop... So the M17xR3 could become a truly awesome 3D mobile rig

    Any thoughts? tnx

How do you know lightboost is already a feature in the R3? Just because the screen is brighter does not mean it has lightboost. Lightboost uses backlighting techniques to reduce the time the shutter stays shut therefore creating a brighter field of view.

The glasses do look bad- though. I don't see Dell implementing this soon as there need to actually be laptop panels make with lightboost tech. I will get a pair of glasses though :)

i remember using my LG external 3D monitor and didn't like ghosting, especially when i added depth in games, these new monitors are meant to reduce it. Also the Lightboost tech should make it possible to view 3D content not only in the dark environment, which is a new add.

All in all, people might get the new pairs of glasses soon enough, but full 3D VISION 2 experience is not coming untill M17xR4 i guess...
