Any hope of 3D screen owners getting their HDMI input back this time?

mmmm, is not working with alienware R1, if you put the modded inf from NVIDIA Verde 295.73 WHQL Driver says that some files are missing..

UPDATE: I updated the inf from lv2go and installed the driver on my r1, should work for everyone here is the link
    nvwi.inf

if it downloads as nvwi_2.inf just rename it to nvwi.inf
Hope this helps you guys... it works perfectly for me, should work for anyone with 260's, 280's or 285's

For the R1 just use the inf from LV2GO for the 295.73 and update the driver revision line of the file with the right numbers.

New drivers are working great for me. I'm on an m14x, though. However, I did notice a slight bump in performance with BF3, and the GPU seems to be running a little cooler too; so I'm very well pleased. Hopefully you guys get similar results.

That does seem strange.... try selecting custom install when asked, then select clean install. Thats the option i always choose and it always works.
You have gtx 280m's... so the inf should work with your cards.

I am getting very bad FPS performance with these drivers.

Assasins Creed Revelations Drops to 3-5 FPS from 20.

I'm actually not sure if this is a driver issue, I updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers to see if that would help to no avail.

Is anybody else having really bad framerate with these 296.10 drivers?

    Hi,

I'm running an R1 with 280M SLI (and when installing drivers I usually run the 9400 in hybrid to update that as well although this is probably stupid and awful) and Slate's nvwi.ini file resulted in the same error as Sprad initially had (failed to install->pic on first page).

I then ran with ampo's nvdm.ini file which installed the driver fine, however left out the option to install new versions of nview and the HD audio driver.

Anyone mind telling me what I should alter and how to have those as install options? Additionally, ampo mentioned that he used it to get his 260M SLI running... I feel like the modded file doesn't pertain only to the 260Ms, however I felt it worth asking whether or not that would have a negative impact on my 280Ms.

    Thanks,
    Sean

Edit: It seems my control panel is only showing the Performance/RAID Storage addons and omitting the SLI config, general video settings, etc, and the driver is being recognized as one below 266..

bummer. Have had my system over a month now and tried HDMI in for the first time today. Was hoping there was a workaround. It's not a deal breaker for me, but disappointing. Does Dell have an official statement on this, or do you just have to use older drivers?

The older drivers will bring hdmi in support back to full functionality, but at the expense of utilizing older drivers :/

The ones posted previously (i.e. the lv2go ones) should of worked, but I've attached one I modded myself and works on my R1 (note: I have the 9400M disabled).

This version appears to be a bit buggy. Both of my computers had kernel crashes (accompanied by weird screen coloration).

Reverting back to v295 for now.

I never disabled 9400M while installing these drivers. So, I need to disable 9400 and say good bye to the hybrid to install these drivers?

Don't know, not sure if the Dell versioned 9400M is in the .infs or not, and I haven't manually added it to the .inf I attached. The laptopvideo2go fixed .inf should have all of them. Could try it enabled with mine, and if it isn't detected, try the lv2go ones.
