hey guys I need your help. Im replacing the GPUs in my brothers R1, he bought the two GPU's seperatley and for some reason they have the BIOs installed that do not include SLI. GPUz says that it is disabled, the PC recogonizes both cards but in NVIDIA control pannel there isnt an option to enable SLI.

Can one of you send me a copy of your GPU BIOs for one of you with a SLI R1 M17x GTX 280m please. Thank you

In nVidia Control Panel > Set SLi and PhysX configuration > Maximize 3D Performance (this enables SLi) check that first.
If not here's the GTX 280m BIOS, you can flash this on both cards.

Aren't those 280m in the area 51 MXM 2.1 ? If they are don't flash!
The vBIOS i posted is for the m17x R1 model and not for the legacy one.

You are very correct. There are different versions for 2.1 and 3.0? Is it just voltage? I can lower the voltage and clocks again once I get the correct profile correct?

My advice is not to flash this BIOS on the MXM 2.1 cards as they don't have the same architecture etc. and you can brick it/them.
You can ask for a MXM 2.1 280m BIOS in the legacy subforum ,I know I saw it on NBR posted somewhere.
