Hi Silent Moon, you may need to perform a system restore back to a date before the issue started, just go to Start and on the searchbar look for "System Restore" it should show some restore points, if you don't see any before the issue you can click on "View more restore points". If this does not fix the problem you may need to take the computer back to the factory image.
    Here is how.
If after doing this the issue persists or the AlienRespawn partition is not present in your system you may need to reinstall Windows 7 from scratch.
You can also try to drain the motherboard's power by disconnecting everything from it (even the power cord and brick) and holding the power button for a minute and then try again.
If none of these steps fixes your issue you may require a HW replacement so please send us an e-mail to [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible, please include your service tag and phone number along with a brief description of the issue. After the resolution please let everyone know here what was the actual fix. #IWork4AW

Have you tried a clean install of the newer 6970M driver (R309894 -- 8.851.2) on the Dell Support Board? Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]. Once you restore normal basic functionality to your R3, then you can consider updating to a newer Catalyst release that may provided improved performance in MP3.
