I don't even know the name but does anyone know what type of one i would need ? would a power cable from a pc work ? thanks guys in advance, is it just a standard pc power lead which i need ??

Chillax dude, it's just a standard AC cable, some call it a kettle plug.

lol...i must have dozens of those cables in my office that I've collected over the years. Any standard cable that came with a powersupply or desktop computer will do

    Wrong.

Follow the advice of those who had already posted. Standard, 6-sided desktop power plug.

Yeah 3 pin AC cables have two types, an angular one and a multi-cylindrical one. The M15x used the latter, like Tapa said, the R3 uses an angular one.
