    Hey everyone,

Used my laptop today just fine, no battery, just plugged into the wall outlet via the power adapter. Bumped my foot into the adapter and the cable going from the adapter to the power socket came loose and shut off my Alienware (M17x, Windows 7 Ultimate). I reconnect everything, make sure everything is set. Turn my PC on and it asks me the standard 'start Windows normally' or Safe Mode options. Go to start Windows normally, I get prompted to do a System Restore, I go through all the steps and I expect then to go to the blue Windows password login screen, but the screen is black. My mouse cursor works fine (both wired mouse, wireless mouse and built-in mouse pad), but I cannot login to Windows or anything. No ctrl-alt-delete, nothing.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue or anything links to past similar issues with working solutions?

    Thank you.
