You should be able to go deeper and select the order. The msata drive is probably there atm. Can't recall the exact keypresses.

For the USB you're kinda beyond testing as you need it now. From a cold start, Tap F12 (need confirming) at the bios screen for the boot menu. Pick the USB and windows install should start.

There are two of those, one is the driver and the other is the managing software

my windows installation is now hangin. :D

anyway, according to the link you give.

    1. Download the Sandy Bridge Intel Rapid Storage Technology file or Ivy Bridge Intel Rapid Storage Technology file. For Desktops use the following driver: Intel Rapid Storage Technology.

My laptop is ivy bridge, so I downloaded the Ivy Bridge Intel Rapid Storage Technology.

    Did I do it right?

EDIT: Windows installation is hanging, How to move forward?

The IRST driver for M17x R3 should work, download it here.

Follow the same instructions from the guide and copy only the files inside the folder into a usb. Then at the partition screen, click advanced options and select "Load Driver".

Look for the usb and load the driver, the installation finish successfully afterwards.

Yup, step 9 in the installation to load the driver. Have you managed to do this yet?

    I did it! :D

Thank you Luis and Micky. :D

Had, troubles with the binding of the command center buttons, but I re-installed the Command Center Driver and the OSD Driver, now it is working as intented :D

One more thing, I can't seem to load the Alienware Theme and Desktop Background, I did this guide, but no luck.
The only thing I managed to do using that guide is the loading screen for alienware upon logging in,

The two things I was not able to do:
    1. Restore the alien animation on bootup, the one with the alien head on fire.
    2. Restore the alienware desktop background/theme

Also, Is it true that Dell Webcam is not pre-installed?

    Excellent news! :D

The only one I can help with there is the webcam. You need to find 'my dell downloads' on the dell site. There is also a link to it in the respawn software I linked earlier. Select the restore button, then restore specific drivers, and you will have a 'my dell downloads' button. :)

You enter your service tag and allow it to interrogate your system. This ensures you are licensed for the add-in programs and you will be offered a list of programs, webcam software being one of them. Use IE as the active x component fails in firefox. Dunno about Chrome. Enjoy ....
