    Need help to bring back NVidia drivers.

    I bought a used M17X R1 and have been reading posts here. I remember one suggestion is to set Hybrid off on BIOS to conserve battery power. So after I received the M17X. It is the first thing I did. Then I turned on the M17X, after getting to Windows 7, I found out three video cards are currently using standard VGA adapter driver under device manager. Even after I changed back BIOS setting to turn on hybrid graphics, they stay in VGA mode (but resolution is still 1920x1080). Does anyone know how to bring back the NVidia drivers without re-installation of such drivers? Thank you very much.

    I would make sure the power cord is plugged in if you want to use the dedicated GPUs and perform a clean install (see steps in the thread above)instead of 'recovering' and whatnot, just to make sure.
