    Hi mate,

2 days ago I was upgrade my alienware to win 8 pro, and I just found not many drivers support with win 8, so I decided to downgrade to win 7. I already tried restore with recovery disc that I made with alienrespawn in first time when I used my laptop, but when finish restore process, all back to win 8 again.
I was install win 8 it looked like clean install, because all the original program was gone.
    unfortunately I don't have win 7 disc.
    can any anyone help me?

    thanks

Without some sort of Windows 7 media you won't be able to restore to 7. This sounds like the exact same scenario people had when PC's starting shipping with Vista. I think your best bet would be to buy a Windows 7 license and go from there.

His machine will have a windows 7 key and a copy can be burned legally from downloading the ISO.

However what drivers don't support windows 8?

You can also use this guide. Get the ISO online. You can use any Windows 7 disc and the key on the bottom of the machine to do it.

    Hi Guys...
I already install windows 7 home premium x64, and I also use recovery disc to restore factory default, and it works...but it install all the recovery file to another hard drive. Btw I have 2 hard drive(64 GB SSD & 1TB hard drive).
64 GB SSD have 3 partition (disck 1)
    - 39 MB healthy (OEM partition)
    - 9.22 GB healthy (active,primary partition)drive (D :)
    - 50.36GB healthy (active,primary partition)drive (F :) I install windows 7 in here

1TB hard drive have 3 partition also (disk 0)
    - 39MB healthy (OEM partition)
    - 9.22 GB healthy (system,active,primary partition)
-922.21GB healthy(boot, page file, crach dump, primary partition) OS (C :) the factory default in this hard drive

my question is can I restore factory default to my SSD like the first time the laptop came?

    have any suggestion ?

    thanks

I wouldn't recommend it, bit too small 64gb, it would make you have to manage your drive a bit too much. Probably best to use that SSD as the cache drive (IRST).
