Need help with ordering an m17x r4

Hello everyone!
I'm coming to malaysia this december around 24 and i was planning on ordering myself the m17x r4
I know i should order it from my country but how much time before?
Also,if they happen to be ready to deliver it to me before i have arrived,how much time is it going to take before they come back?

Someone help me i'm kind of desperate here lol

Not sure what you mean by this statement.

 

I think it's going to take more than 2 weeks. A few people got email saying their AW may be delayed. Probably because of the holiday season. But that will be the case if we assume this guy orders from Dell US. Judging from his wording, he does not seem to be a native English speaker. So we cannot answer his question if we don't know his origin country.

 

Very likely given he's going to Malaysia...but I never assume a person's a non-native English speaker from one post. Otherwise my Dad and his West Virginia/Texas/California way of talking would have landed him in ESL college courses a long time ago.

I meant that if they come to deliver it and i'm not here,they are supposed to come back right? Well how much time is it going to take before they come back?

 

Ahh. Me sabe, me sabe. If the delivery company is UPS or FedEx, and your not home the first time they try to deliver, they may make two additional attempts on the following two consecutive business days. If all three delivery attempts fail, then they will hold your package at their shipping warehouse for you to pick up for two more days. If you still don't go and pick it up, they will send the package back to Dell.

 

Hmm alright. So i could order the laptop like 2 weeks before i go and if they came to deliver it i could ask my hotel to just keep it.
Do you think i can customise and buy a laptop at a dell authorised reseller?

 

I'm not very sure about this but do shipping company deliver to hotel room? It increases the chance of fraud significantly.. So I'm afraid you may not be able to get them ship it to your hotel room.

You can customize M17x however you want if that authorized seller offers you customization.

 

They can deliver it to the hotel itself i guess. I'll be asking the hotel to keep the package safely if i have not arrived in the country yet. And if i'm here i'll be taking it personally. Only problem will be that i won't be able to check the system for any damage if i don't take it personally :/
