The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Need help, new to this forum.

    Had an m17xr3 for about 12 hours now, installed skype and secondlife and that was it (and is most likely it will be used for). Made a few calls, worked awesome, the "respawn" updated. After a reboot, skype still worked fine. I shut it off to go do some other things, upon returning and booting, skype no longer works, goes to a directory, Mcafee will not open, and I get "Unhandled Exception Occured, Application Will Exit" that comes from the newly updated respawn. Reinstalled skype and nothing, so I am thinking glitch with respawn, any takers?
