Hello forum I am sort of new to pc gaming so this might be a stupid question but when there are updates or patches for pc games do I have to install all of them in order or can I just install the latest version? Example if a game has 1.1,1.2,1.3 update etc...... do I have to install 1.1,1.2,.1.3 or can I just install the 1.3 update. I remember playing call of duty 4 back in the day and you have to install 1.4,1.5,1.6,1.7 if I remember correctly. Any info would be great thanks everyone. :)

I would install all of the patches just to be safe unless you can find out online if a certain game doesn't require them all. I believe this varies from game to game so you will need to research on the particular game this applies to. FYI, this is not the correct sub-forum to be asking this in and I think this will be moved.

Yeah really depends on the game. Typically if a later patch is cumulative it'll list it in the description, otherwise it can be good practice to install them all. A lot of newer games have auto patching features to keep you current so you don't have to worry about it. Games bought from an online vendor (steam, impulse etc), will typically inform you (or auto patch you) to the latest. So it really depends. Have fun :)
