I recently upgraded my m17x r4 to a 780m and I need another heatsink and X bracket. Where is the best place besides ebay i can get one? I had the 680m before and the heatsink fit the 780m perfect but now i noticed damage to it and just want to replace the heatsink and bracket support. Also, are the r3 and r4 heatsinks the same? Im not sure what heatsinks from any model m17x will work for me. thanks!

M17X R4 heatsinks are all the same for the GPU, the xbracket is brand specific so the nvvidia one should fit any nvidia (aka 660m is fine for the 680m I think).

I think dell might sell you a heatsink for a reasonable price as well. Worth a punt.

Okay I ordered the heatsink and bracket from dell for 54 bucks only. The only other thing I ordered is the Fujiploy thermal padding for the memory chips on the top and bottom side of my 780m, I should be good to go, I hope the heatsink comes with the 4 screws

I was under the impression that the screws are locked with the heatsink. o_O

thats what it looks like, I get all the parts in tomorrow and will see. Im shocked the heatsink, fan, and support plate was all only 54 bucks, when online they go for 100+. For once, its cheaper at dell lol
