My M17x just shutdown by itself and upon reboot says "no operating system found.". I do not have the disc with me because I am on leave right now for the holidays. I do not have a recovery partition as well. Is there a fix MBr program available from Alienware that I dont know about or ideas? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Quick question before you go trying to reinstall and lose a lot of stuff, are you running 2 drives in RAID 0? If you are, first thing you should do is go into the BIOS and make sure that the RAID is enabled and not set to SATA. I have had 2 instances where the BIOS just forgot that RAID was supposed to be enabled and reset to disabled. Make sure it is turned on and RAID 0 is set to active. I'll recheck the BIOS settings in a few minutes and post more clear instructions once I have a cahnce to reboot and look at them.

Edit: These are the BIOS settings to check

    Advanced Tab
    - SATA Operation [RAID]
    - RAID OPROM UI [ENABLED]
    - RAID Mode Selection
    - RAID 0 [ENABLED]

If they have been disabled, I am pretty sure the, No operating System found message is what I got when it happened to me. You shouldn't have to rebuild the array, just turn on the BIOS settings and it should boot up.
