    Hi,

I'm connected to a 100/100 mbit fiber. When connected via ethernet cable i'm getting download speeds up to 98 mbit/s. But when i'm connected via WIFI, the maximun speed i can reach is around 40 mbit/s.

Also, when i'm playing games, BF4 etc. i think im getting package losses. Like every 10 seconds the connections is lost for 1 second and it's like i'm running in to an invisible wall or something. Same thing happens when i'm playing LoL, DOTA 2 or HoN - i can move my character just fine, but then after 10 seconds - i cant move the character at all, which means it just keeps running to the last clicked direction.
This is not happening when connected via ethernet.

Is there anyone else here who's experiencing the same? Or does somone know how to fix this?

    Thanks!

Might be your router, I haven't actually SEEN anyone get 100mbit on wireless even though wireless has surpassed a gigabit with all the different bands linked up.

I dont think it is, since my macbook which is sitting right next to my Alienware can reach speeds up to 98 mbit/s... So there's something weird with the Alienware 17's network card.

Mine does same thing but my internet speeds only go up to 2 mbs. I have at@t 2wire. I thought you could only get internet speeds that fast in heaven lol. Mine goes dead every 5 minutes or so also I just thought it was my router but my toshiba laptop never did that . If you figure it out please do explain .

Even when downloading from steam every 5 minutes or so give or take the download drops to 0 then goes back up to 400kbs . So it's not the game or games . Has to be card or driver problem
