I just got everything setup on my new M17x R4, but it's been making some odd noises in the disc drive region. It always sounds like it wants to eject something every so often. Does anybody know what this is? Could it be my SSD?

My Blu-Ray drive does this too. I've just accepted it. Not sure what the solution is, if any.

My r3 does this on startup as well. Not sure why it needs to be done, but its gotten to be kinda annoying over the year or so I have owned this thing.

Ah, well that's a relief. It froze real bad once, where I had to do a hard restart, but other than that everything has been good. It sure is a monster.

Been having some strange freezing issues. Nothing works at all when it happens. It has occurred three times today during installation of items like Libre Office and so on. Any ideas?

I virus scanned, malware scanned and CC Cleaned last night, and there is nothing wrong with anything. The freezing issue has me worried.
