    Does anyone know which panel the New Egg version or the Amazon version use in their m17x retail?

    It doesn't, because if you look at the feedback ppl are complaining about the resolution not going to 1900x1200

    That's what I thought but I wasn't sure since it has the 5870cf. It seems like a steep price at $2100 and not having the RGB LED screen.

    they have Dual CCFL with max res of 1440x900 so it will never go to 1920x1200
