    Hey guys,

    Is Dellianware planning to launch any new GPU for the Alienware M17X 3D??
    They did come up with GTX 580m, but any idea if it is going to be put for sale for the 3D screen...Any approximate date??

    I remember about a petition on ideastorm.com being filed for a new GPU other than the 460m...but it hasn't been implemented it seems.....

    It's been 6 months now since I have been waiting for a good GPU for the 3D M17x. I feel like giving it up and goin for a Clevo instead ... LOL!!!

    Please share any ideas you have about the launch of the GTX580m for 3D.

    I would not hold my breath. I figure they will release better 3D card sometime in the future, but it may be 6 months from now or maybe never. The fact that they released 580m without support for 3D means they do not consider it their priority or it is not financially worth it to them. Who knows what Dell thinks. I got 3D m17x-r3 because in the end I figured it will do for now and in a year I will just get another system. Then again I can afford to drop few thousands and throw it away in a year. If you consider it an investment then you need to wait or buy clevo.

    For now if you want high end card and 3D you need to go somewhere else.
