    Hi People,

Picked up my M17 last week, got a pretty good deal (i think) its the AMD R9 model with 16gb RAM, 1tb hd, 80gb SSD drive, anyway i paid £1000 for it off someone from gumtree, seems legit as i got the invoice etc and it was boxed new, think it was a refurb as it had a brown Dell box. Was planning on getting the M14 but this was only a bit more and seems much better, but im very happy with it.

I just had a couple of questions, i dont know a great deal about drivers etc, shoudl i be updating them out of the box or will they have the latest ones installed? i have this AMD program for the card so not sure if that updates it

Also was this model a better choice than the one that comes with the Nvidea 7 series card?

    Thanks

Price seems decent. I recommend installing AMD drivers directly, manufacturer always lags behind in driver development.

Nvidia card may or may not have been a better choice depending on the card model and price.
    770m and below - NO
780m - YES, but probably at least 300GBP extra.

Ok thats fairenough, i guess the main reason i bought it was for the elder scrolls online as my old laptop wouldnt run it, but i can now run it in ultra and its really smooth, so as long as it can run stuff well im happy

Are you using the DELL drivers or the latest AMD ones?
