Hi all,
Just got my M17x R2 from the outlet and now that they've sent me the correct AC adapter, I can start using it.
I'm noticing a slight yellowish tint on the upper 2-3 inches of the RGB LED screen. Before I go through the process of getting Dell to swap it, I wanted to verify that others do not experience the same thing. I can see it easily if I open notepad and expand to full screen (it shows up mostly on white backgrounds).
Thanks for your thoughts,
N

No the LED screen should not be doing that. No yellow tint.
There is a thread on the forums for color balance the RBG screen you might check it out.
Outside of that a replacement screen will be in order.
Good Luck!

Nyceis, could you update on this thread once you get your new screen? Run hwinfo32 and copy/paste the info. Thx.

Sure, what do you want to know? The current one is SEC5443. Its the 1920x1200 RGB LED.
They're bringing a new screen and new 5870's as I have the rolling screen issue with Crossfire.

I'd like to know the full model# of your new RGB screen. I've been seeing some new models lately. I'm sure some other folks would be interested in knowing too.
So do you have a tech coming or are you able to install those on your own?
And how much did you pay for your m17x from the outet? I've spotted some sick deals similar to your spec, but failed to capture. At least I got one coming next week.
