Anyone getting decreased performance with the new patch? I used to get 60+ fps outside of Dalaran and 30ish in Dalaran with nearly all maxed out video settings. Now playing with the new settings I cant seem to get over 30 fps ANYWHERE unless I really crank down on everything. System specs in sig and gonna try to attach a screen shot of the ingame video settings im using.

ATI Radeon? Video Card Drivers for Windows 7 - 64-Bit Edition
Wow has dx11 support now, ATI released new profiles that have an update for it, don't know that it will help, but you can give it a shot.
edit: nm, i didn't even notice you were running a single card. -
Yup, single card. Latest Dell drivers. Would it still help to update to ATI's drivers?
Edit: You know come to think of it, I had the game running for a good two hours while I poked and prodded at the new changes and set up my main character. I dont recall the fans speeding up at all really. That's a bit odd... -
Ok, forget I ever posted. I closed the game down, did some surfing and started it back up to go check on something. I'm back to 60 fps everywhere (v-sync on). And fans are spooling up nicely. Must have been a bug or something...
-
my game it's been crashing 3 times today, idk what's going on, anyone have the same issue?
-
Turn the new water engine off and shadows to simple shadows. Both are poorly coded and running in an already ancient engine.

jk...
Blizzard will probably release another patch next Tuesday to fix the crap. Also, just hang and wait for the 10.10 from AMD with the new profiles -
-
Here are my settings, as you can see I am at about 60fps in the populated area of Dalaran, and most of my video settings are set pretty high. I am also playing in windowed mode so I can use a second external monitor for email/web while playing:

Easirok,
Is that post patch? What mod did u use to get your player portraits down on the bottom. Xperl is what I used to use but it's broken now. -
The patch is plagues with performance issues, but I've found that 98% of the problem was due to the sheer number of people who have decided to come take a peek at the new patch. I've been seeing twice as many people as normal in major cities.
Shadow quality plays a big roll in this, turn them down for better performance. It's hard to even notice the difference after playing for a while. -
Yep, post-patch. I just took the screenshot a few hours ago.
Nope, not SUF. I use Pit Bull 4 for my unit frames (player, target, target of target, focus, focus target). It works very well, have had no problems since the patch, and you can make PitBull look like *anything* you want... it is exceptionally customizable. Like many others, I also use Grid+Clique for raid frames. However the new Blizzard raid and unit frames are pretty decent... they are sufficient for most casual or semi-casual players.
Here is a complete list of my current mods (changing frequently as I discover things newly broken, etc). Yes, I run a LOT of mods:
Addon Control Panel
ActionBarSaver [appears to be broken still]
ArkInventory
Auctioneer
BadDefilers [I wrote this one! of course it is awesome!]
Bartender4
BugSack
ButtonFacade
ButtonFacade_Caith
Clique
CombatLogFix
CombustionHelper
DBM [aka Deadly Boss Mods]
DocsCorporeality
GearScore [I hate the concept, but run it so I know my "gs" when asked]
Grid
Lich
LKWarning
MacroBank
MageNuggets
MountainOMounts
NPCScan
Omen
oRA2
PitBull4
PowerAuras
Prat-3.0
Quartz
SexyCooldown [currently broken]
Skada
SLDataText
SpellID
TargetCharms
TidyPlates
TidyPlates_Grey [for my mage]
TidyPlates_ThreatPlates [for my DK tank]
XLoot [currently broken]
XLootGroup [currently broken]
XLootMaster [currently broken]
XLootMonitor [currently broken] -
This is what I'm using now. I get 55ish fps in Dalaran.
I honestly dont care much about shadows or fancy water effects, heck if we could turn them off I would lolAttached Files:

the patch reset some video settings
I play with no shadows normally and now thy were set to "good" so I had to make them the lowest possible -
Anyone else who's getting poor performance with crossfire turned on? When I turn off crossfire, I can run WoW almost maxed out and still get 30-40 fps in Dalaran with lots of people running around.. Seems like everything runs better with just one card atm. :/ Only 3dmark vantage and 3dmark '06 runs better with crossfire on :/
Any one?
System:
1.6ghz, 720qm
ATI crossfire 5870 x2 - Latest drivers(10.9, vBios)
4gb ram -
With 55fps in Dalaran you should be reaching 150-ish or more while out questing or in dungeons. That's not too shabby at all.
@Drazzio: Did you install the lastest game profiles from AMD? I saw there was something about warcraft with crossfire mentioned there. Also, in case you were not aware, Warcraft has experimental DirectX 11 support now. You can add a line to your config.w*t*f (hmm this forum seems to filter out those three letters) file to enable it. I only have a 4870 card so haven't been able to try it out (4870 is not a dx11 card). -

*Off the topic*
I've been having the same issues with BF: BC2(runs better with one card). Can I have multiple profiles installed at a time, or does the profiles overwrite each other? I think that I saw a profile for BF: BC2 once, but I'm not sure -

Thanks.
EDIT: I found the 10.9 profiles on the gaming download page. BUT, not clear if, once installed, do I have to do anything? Is there a place to "activate" the WoW profile (or any profile for that matter) or is it all supposed to just work automagically? Confused at the moment. Also, do the profiles version have to match the driver version? Still confused. -
-
I don't see how to do anything with the profiles, once installed? Do I choose a profile somehow, somewhere? My CCC Profile Manager has nothing listed in it. -

here are the BC2 ones oles.
Cheers. -
Over here chiefs. oles!

Are these profiles only for crossfire set ups? Or do they work with single card set ups?
-
Some have said only xfire, others have said it helps non-xfire too.
Since you don't get any kind of indication that an installed profile is being used while playing, it is pretty hard to say conclusively one way or the other.
From my perspective, it doesn't hurt anything to have them installed so I have them loaded on my system even though I do not have xfire. -
Put on the profiles today and turned DX11 on in config.w.t.f
No change in windowed mode (sadly, this is preferred playing mode).
However, in full screen non-windowed mode the performance is noticeably better. Note that I didn't have any issues per se with WoW without them, it ran just fine. With profiles and on fullscreen tho, both cards start running in crossfire and sharing the load, which actually ends up in maintaining the same framerates while each card is carrying 30-40% of the load and heat the primary was having to handle on it's own.
Very nice if you don't mind losing the easier alt-tabbing of windowed mode.
