I bought a new 560m to replace the old one that got fried in my R3. I replaced it, started the laptop and it recognizes the card but the device manager says: "The device has been stopped because it reported an error."
The card should be exactly the same as my old one (except maybe a newer vBIOS). The bios of the laptop is A08. I don't know what I should do to fix it, please help!

Did you try reinstalling the video drivers?

Yes but it doesn't Change anything. Strange is that the Driver Installation reports no Errors.

Try purging the drivers off and use CCleaner. Are you using Dell's or Nvidia's drivers?

I tried ccleaners and both dell's and nvidia's Drivers but nothing changes. Could this be a Hardware Problem? Is there a way to create a log of the gpu's activity and see what's wrong? Or could updating the BIOS help?

Had exactly the same issue with my 560m last week which had already failed and been replaced once, they replaced the gpu and mobi with no change, machine went back to dell for rework, i'll let you know what they say and maybe save you some trouble.

Thanks a lot. Thing is my machine is out of warranty and I bought it from a private seller on ebay so I hope it's nothing serious because I already spent a lot of money.

EDIT: I tried again sweeping the driver in safemode with Guru3D display driver uninstaller and reinstall the driver but it does not seem to work.

EDIT2: updating vBios does nto Change anything.

I missed the call from the rework place when they called back, so no word on what the actual issue was, no word of me being charged so it was either a mobo/gpu issue, hopefully they'll have provided notes on whatever they did for me to have a look at tomorrow.

Okay thanks, I'll be awaiting your response tomorrow.

EDIT: freshly installed windows now, didn't change anything. I really think this is a hardware issue.

    Sorry, I've been working.

Unfortunately I bare no glad tidings, all the info I got from Dell was that the GPU was replaced again which they had already done twice in my home.

Somewhat inexplicably, they've replaced my 560m with a 580m, which was nice, but it would appear the issue was simply the stock of reworked 560's they had lying around were garbage, or the tech who came to my house those times was an incompetent hack.

Sorry dude, but it looks like the card might just be scrap.

Looks like I'll have to send it back. This will be expensive *sigh*
    Thanks for helping :)
