Just got my outlet 17, it's quite a beast, but the fricking wifi is unusable, it was shutting down 30 seconds after connecting, I searched all over and saw that the battery savings needed to be changed to stop it from sleeping.... Did that, the wifi still was unusable sluggish. I'm reformatting now, if that doesn't fix it it's going back I think...
Reformat with a standard install DVD failed, ... Officially ready to throw this thing out a window...

It is a common problem with Intel Centrino 6200N cards. All you got to do is install the Intel Wi-Fi Link drivers after you uninstall the Dell default ones. Should solve the problem to all Intel 6x00N cards.

Will give that a shot thanks
The Internet is still dog slow. I still cannot get windows update to work, I've completely disabled windows firewall and told IE to allow connections to windows update.com and *.microsoft.com and windows update still throws a constant 80072ee2 error. Rage rising, about to send this piece of junk back.
Finally got so pissed off that I packed up and moved the laptop to the same room as the FIOS router and plugged in via ethernet. Windows Update works fine over cat5. What the FROG!?!?!?!?!
