I just got my Alienware M17 R4 laptop back from HidRevulition, they installed a nvidia 970m and windows 8.1. They used a older modded nvidia driver. I just installed The Witcher wild hunt on my laptop. The game has flashing textures in it. I would like to install newer modded drivers but dont know how to do it or if they will work. Can anyone help me with this problem or am I stuck with this old driver?

you would need the latest drivers and mod them. that's the only way.

Can you elaborate on what you mean flashing textures?

    Go to www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers

You don't need the driver just try to install the NV one. When it fails the driver files will be expanded under c:\nvidia\...

Follow the link for the same driver version (don't use the search) and you get the option for the 'inf' file. This is all you need. Track down the same file name under the driver install and replace it. The install should now work.

Note that they say win 8 but it's the same as the win 7 one.

    Good luck
