Hi, I mounted 3D display (removed from the M17x R3 3D) to my new laptop, but still can't turn on 3D Vision (not shown in the NVIDIA control panel, 120Hz refresh rate works).
Here is my current configuration:
M17x R4
Bios version A11, Intel i7 3740QM, Nvidia 680m (4GB clevo card, Driver version 314.22 ), 16GB DDR3, Win 8 Pro 64bit
For any advice I would be grateful..

Hi, just a quick idea,
I'm wondering about the connections. The 3d emitter/receiver for the glasses is part of the display and if that is not connected then the NV driver will not install the 3D components. I have not dismantled mine so can't offer any advice as to how it is connected
I'm guessing you don't see this in device manager?Attached Files:

All I can think of is removing the driver and re-installing, maybe something has got 'stuck' from the original driver install?
There is an old stand-alone 3D component on the dell drivers site that might help: Driver Details | Dell UK
I do know that if you do not see a command window open and a couple of files copy during the driver install the steroscopic sub-tree is missing from the control panel. Had it happen a couple of times. -

Weird, I would suggest you to use the DELL drivers for this issue, they are meant to work better with those features.

1. I would try to Nuke and do a clean install of drivers.
2. After that i would do a cmos clear by holding in the power button for 20 seconds with the battery out and with it unplugged to id the display properly. -
Firstly, thanks to all for the comments I will try to do everything according to your comments and we'll see..

Also just realised, the 3D requires to be 'certified' somewhere in the BIOS - the reason 680 users can't get 3D in an R3. It could be that the card still has the clevo BIOS and so has a different ID? Flashing with the dell bios should fix that if it is the case.

The panel is the issue (3D Vision 2) not the card, you can't flash a 2GB Dell vbios w/ a 4GB Clevo card.
Clevo gtx 680m should read PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11A0&SUBSYS_05511028 -
