    Hello everybody,

I have a problem that since I had to format and reinstall everything my sound is not the same..

The sound has no BASS at all, and it's a mono-sound, no 2.0, 2.1, 4.1, 5.1 I tried several options at IDT Audio control panel, and nothing seems to work, if I raise the BASS bar, the sound starts to play like an old radio.

and the curious thing is that when I uninstall IDT Audio Drivers and let Windows install default drivers the Bass comes back and so the stereo sound, so I thought, I'll just use windows drivers, but the bad thing is, when I plug a headset, I have to close and open all programs that are playing any sound to get the sound again, it's so frikin annoying..

ps: I've tried IDT original drivers from the DVD and the updated drivers from the website, the problem persists...

Thank you for the answer Fatality,

I tried what u said but it didn't work, so I installed IDT drivers and then went to the windows Device Manager and performed a rollback on its drivers, now I have stereo, but the Bass is absolutly gone...

Is there any sort of conflict going on with IDT and some other thing?

I think this is also weird because since before the fresh install, even with SRS on my headset was stereo and perfectly fine...

There's also another issue, If I'm playing a game using the laptop speakers and then decide to use a headset it won't work, the sound won't play, and checking the windows sound mixer, i figured out that it's separated, it's like my game was still on the speakers but muted because of the headset, same happens with every other program..

I have to open the programs and games when my headset is already connected, otherwise my computer will separate it...
