    No FPS Improvement with OC'd 7970m - Help Needed

    Firstly guys i am going to admit to being new to the world of windows after being a OSX user for the past 8 years. I got my new M17x R4 last week as spec'd below

    Windows 8
    i7 3740QM
    7970m 2gbGDDR
    16gb Ram
    1920x1080 hi def screen
    500gb 7200 rpm HDD
    256gb SSD

    I have installed the lastest MSI afterburner and unlocked the overclocking following one of the excellent guides on this forum. The problem is that i see no improvement in FPS on Crysis 2 (ultra and DX11)! Set to 930/1350 i get same 29-30 FPS as stock clocks. Setting to 950/1400 it causes the game to freeze/black screen/crash after a few minuets game play. I am also seeing the GPU utilization hanging around 65% but being new to this world i am not sure if that means anything??

    I am running on catalyst 12.11 driver after reading about the improvements in this driver version (never even contemplated drivers on my mac book pro)

    Any help or guidance world be very welcome.
