    I went online to check on alienware today and under the m17x section they arent offering the 580m anymore. just 560s and 6990ms.. anyone know what the deal is?

    I am not sure, but it is likely because Dell is having a shortage of cards. If you check out the M17x order status thread, we have quite a few people lined up that are waiting on cards. Several have been waiting over a month, I believe. I would estimate when Dell gets more in, the option will be available again. Of course, this is just speculation, but I think it is most likely what is happening.

    yeah im in american though and its not there for me either. thats crazy. No point in ordering one now, might as well just wait for ivy bridge lol

    If you want, but it's possibly that you could be waiting until the second half of this year or later until we see it up for order. Then, you will need to wait until Dell offers the upper-end cards in the system as well. As often as things come out in the tech world, you will just always be waiting and never buy anything. That's just my 2 cents, though.
