As the title says, i can't get the laptop to boot at all with the new screen installed. (no signs of life)
I swaped the old one back in (1440x900 2CCFL) and the laptop started on first try.
So i put the new 1920x1200 LED screen in, and i cant get it to power on again.
The screen i bought is:
RGB panel 1920*1200 (1200p) - J2CY8€170CT
After i press the power button for the first time with new screen installed power led turns on, and then instantly off, no fans spin, nothing.
After that, not even power led comes on. (basically no signs of life at all).
Could it be that i bought a faulty screen, or what could be the problem here.
Thanks for any input.

I have done some further testing, and i found out that only after i use the video cable, the laptop won't start.
Until then it starts, and gives me LED codes, but after i plug in screen connector, it stops working completly. -
Very likely a faulty LCD screen. But you can also try doing the power drain/CMOS reset. It's a long shot, but it's always recommended with a major hardware change like that.

I forgot to mention it, but i have done it a billion times
makes no difference at all.

99% sure the replacement LCD is bad. You can be 100% sure if you plug in your old LCD. If it boots right up, then you know to send back the replacement one.

Yes, the old one starts right away, on first try. I already contacted the seller to let him know.

Ok update on the story.
The seller was not communicating with me and i received full refund from ebay buyer protection.
I was looking at the screen today trying to figure out what to do with it, and i ended up fixing it
So if any1 has similar problem here's what i did to fix it.
I first unplugged the backlight and tried to start, NO POWER
I unplugged video cable, NO POWER
I unplugged the cable from motherboar, BOOTED UP
So i removed the video cable from screen assembly and checked it if there was something wrong with it, but i saw nothing.
Plugged the cable to motherboard while still outside screen assembly, and tried to power on, BOOTED UP
Plugged in video cable to the screen, BOOTED UP
Plugged in backlight, BOOTED UP
Assembled the screen and posted this right up
So my guess is, that the cable was put inside the assembly in such a way that something was shorting out
Hope this helps someoneWill post photos on request
