    No sound with HDMI output

    I've connected my M17x R3 to the TV and the picture shows fine but there's no sound. I've looked at the sound options in control panel and the Digital Audio (HDMI) isn't configured. Is this why there's no sound?

    Is HDMI disabled? You would need to enable it and set it as the default device.

    I don't think this is possible as it says it is not connected, or words to that effect, and the panel is greyed out so I can't select it.

    I reinstalled the sound drivers from the Dell site and it works now :)
