    Hi guys,

Just a quick question for anyone using an external monitor. I have recently hooked up my U2410 (which is working beautifully) and I thought I would check out temps on my gpu's. I currently have the desktop duplicated and around 4 tabs open on IE9.

Have opened sensors only on Hwinfo32 and gpu's are showing temps of around 53c for primary and 40c for secondary. I was expecting an increase obvioulsy due to more for the gpu's to do. Before hand they were at around 40c without the external monitor in the same kind of IE9 scenario.

Do they seem normal? are they the kind of temp increase I should expect running an external display? - I just want to check really so anyone with an external hooked up - could you check your temps and let me know?

Also, the clocks on the primary are now 405/1000 for the primary and 100/150 for the secondary....again, do these sound normal/expected?

    TIA for any input....

Happy Easter to you all too..... :)

Happy Easter to you too Stevie!!!

Yup those temps are very normal.

Don't for get that utilising IE9 also makes nice use of the GPUs in certain web application scenarios. That is another cool part of the newer web browsers these days. I use my tele as a 2nd monitor a lot of the time and I too hover around those temps.

I too have noticed the GPU speed jump up and down like yours on the 1st GPU depending what I am doing at the time. The 2nd GPU is usually at stock lowest clocks. Correct me if I'm wrong but now it would be nice if web browsers could utilise dual or more GPUs in the future. LOL!

I normally idle around the high 30s and low 40s. When running 2 monitors one at 1200p and the other at 1080p the R2 is still super fast as expected. Doesn't really break a sweat. Your low 50 deg C temps are very normal. All good there Stevie.

    Cheers. :)

The xm is up and running. Couldn't be happier really :D
i keep it as in sign for daily use and it is fast. 3.1Ghz across the 4 cores feels good. 3.5 for dual and 3.65 for single core. Worth the money
