It seems like others have got off topic from the OP. I have an R4 with 660m and I use the MSI afterburner and it has been fine for me. I play games like Diablo 3, MW3, Crysis 1 and 2, Hawx 1 and 2, Dirt 2 and 3, Sniper Elite V2, Red Orchestra, Duke Nukem, etc... I play them all with the highest graphics and antialiasing settings the games have and I have had no problem running any of them and max card temps I have seen is 62C but normally stays around 58C. Runs smooth and looks great all the time with no issues so it's a great choice for me.

Dell guy probably just wanted you to buy now so he gets a commission. You can easily OC the 675m, it is the same card as the 580m and will go to something like 740 core on regular voltage. You can do that with Nvidia Inspector.

The 675m is cheaper and in stock, but technically it is not the better option. The 680m will get better frame rates, which will actually matter for 3D. In non-3D both cards are going to get really close to 60 fps in almost everything maxed. But when you use 3D you would probably notice the extra speed of the 680m.

The 680m is out of stock until the middle of September though, so it is a bit of a wait. A month for them to even let you order, and then another few weeks to get your computer. Probably looking at October at the earliest to get a 680m R4.

Was waiting too see someone to say the 675m is a re badged 580m. the 680m and 7970m are just as good as the 580m sli and the 6990m xfire. for the OP to downgrade his GPU than what he had surprises me.

Just to clarify once again, I did not start this thread. This thread was started back when the forum was having issues. I was the first to reply, but for some reason, it shows me as the creator of this thread. The originator of this thread is the second person to comment.

I have more sense then to downgrade my GPU, then complain about the reduction in performance. As you can see in my sig, I no longer have my 580M. Instead I have upgraded to a 7970M. The OP was complaining because this was his first AW and he chose the 660M thinking it would have better performance then it does.

Edit: Could a mod please remove me as the starter of this thread? maplingstorie is the originator of this thread.

I'm going to close it and let it die instead.
