I'm getting excellent results from this driver on Windows 8 via M17x R1 280Ms SLi. I've attached the modded files for any M17x R1 users out there. Enjoy! :)

    Thank you for the share.

Not sure they are better than 310.33, but as for 306.97 that's for sure at least on Windows 8. I was able to run NFS Most wanted just fine on Windows 7 x64 with 306.97, but after clean install of Windows 8 Pro with the same nvidia drivers I had slightly lower performance. After installing 310.33 performance was restored. 310.54 did not like a big performance increase over 310.33, but it sure did over 306.97. Currently running COD Black Ops 2 all maxed out with no overclocking what so ever. Love Alienware and GTX 680M

I only have one issue with specific game - Counter Strike Source. It would not run on nvidia card and wants to use Intel HD4000, even though it's set to High performance in nvidia control panel. The way steam works I can not right click it and choose 'run with graphics processor nvidia' like on other games, which were not bought through steam or even some newer games from steam (CSS GO, Left 4 Dead 2 are fine).

In terms of steam, when steam starts for me it runs on my GPU (just the client alone), I have CSS i'll see if it runs on the iGPU or GPU,

You have to make sure you go into BIOS and disable both the integrated graphics and hybrid option. After that, you should be able to enable SLi on your 280Ms.
