Well, I've had a quick run through with fresh numbers taken just before upgrading to the driver:

    Dirt Showdown -2fps (-3%)

    Batman AO; +6fps (+15%)

    Bioshock Inf.; +4fps (+8%)

    Hitman Absolution; +5.2fps (+12%)

    TR; +2.6fps; (+6%)

    F1 2012; +18fps! (+41%) Weird!

    Metro LL; +3fps (+1%)

I'm not expecting any dramatic increases as this one is probably more about fixing 7xx cards and higher (IMO Since I still haven't seen the release notes), off on my search again....

I didn't realise that, so it won't get it's own feedback thread over at nvidia :(. IMO NV do this to small scale beta test since I'm willing to bet the next official will be WHQL, which is disappointing since I only want to see a full scale WHQL release after a good working beta has been out. It does seem to have fixed the only problem I had which was a rare microstutter, usually at the start of a scene and not bad enough for me to roll back :)

    Thanks

It's sort of a pre-release...880M first driver support/proper section, unlike v337.50 & v337.61 (not the same) collecting feedback from everywhere, differently when using the normal channels. Many beta 'testers' 337.50, 337.61, 337.81... :D

    thanks for the info
did try it with bioshock infinite
negligible difference, few graphically intense parts do get a few fps bump, up from ~26fps to 28-29 fps (all at max settings and 1080p), otherwise the game is as fluid as always, 60fps+
    nothing else new noted

Excuse me, Mr, but do you really get 300+ FPS in Metro LL or it was just a typo? LOL

It's the math. If a 3 FPS gain is only a 1% improvement then it means he was getting 300 FPS before in Metro: LL which is basically impossible on a GTX 675M, or any GPU for that matter.

I flashed my 680 with new vbios so that it would not throttle. Also it is overclocked a bit :)

I just knew I'd messed up with the % but unfortunately my math brain sometimes fails me on the simplest formulas, one reason I don't do this stuff for a living any more :(. Looks like a decimal point error, dieing here, it was rather late for me

Here are the original numbers so you can work it out properly, the games are not fully ultra but pretty close:

    Showdown 79fps;BMAO 38fps; Bio Inf 50fps; Hitman A 42fps; TR 51fps; F1 2012 40fps; Metro LL 30fps.

    Sorry 'bout that

Wow. 10% gain for Metro. Is that versus 370.50? Looks like Metro is one of the games which gets real benefits in the latest 3 drivers (2 Betas and 1 WHQL). Will check if I have at least +1 fps :)

Yep all fresh numbers as they always change a little over time so I like to do a straightforward upgrade and keep all my game profiles - some of them benefit from max performance preferred (stopping any power throttle during game loads that slows down the load :(). Setting it globally leaves me with windows getting a little too warm :(.

Micky, how are you obtaining such a driver before Nvidia have released it? Even now I can't see such an update on either the Geforce or Nvidia websites. Just curious. :)

From following the NV support forums. It can be a drag but occasionally you get some interesting info. You can track it down at Nvidia but it's under Japan and the release notes are not saying much above a new game release.

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/...ce-display-driver-feedback-thread-4-7-14-/87/

Release notes from the driver are empty, I was hoping to see some fixes for 7xx and higher cards. There's a lot of people trying it out so even though it does not have it's own thread, results from them checking it out should show.

    GFE.JPG

And the download site is Nvidia, you can browse it over FTP, which is where I did find a limited set of notes, maybe not one for first time updaters :(

Not seen a single back step though and if I do you'll read it here first ;)
