Release Notes: http://uk.download.nvidia.com/Windows/344.60/344.60-win8-win7-notebook-release-notes.pdf
A minor revision in an attempt to fix (I guess) a lot of problems reported by 980m desktop users, along with the usual raft of profiles (when will they start using their own code to just update profiles without a whole driver change).

It's just for COD: Advanced Warfare. Probably won't be an improvement for anything else.
Thanks for sharing, though. -

Just what I thought BUT, although all my game benchmarks are the same I noticed my temps down by around -5c! I tried pushing the boost to the next OC level which used to crash a couple of the tests and all run perfect - so I have a new base clock to play on.
FYI in games and game benches I saw 72c max. With Heaven 4 running for 15 mins it got to 76c. Looks like it might be ready for the next level of voltage boost
-
Dumb question but is your ambient temp the same?

good question. I believe so, I'm still comfortable in my 'T'
. Might account for a degree or so but H4 used to quickly hit 80c+.
Dunno, maybe someone else can test a 680m? -
So, I installed this and have noticed the following (with BF4):
1. FPS randomly peaks much higher now on the Ultra preset (4xMSAA), up to 80's.
2. Temperatures didn't change.
FPS seems to be a tiny bit better, but 3DMark didn't change. It's WHQL, so I recommend installing it.IanC and MickyD1234 like this. -

Thats's where I was heading . It is certainly more stable on my system and I'm alternating my time between hammering my GPU and watching the NV forums for any warnings... -

Hi guys,
Well it's still working great for me. Not a single hang or crash on my +230mhz overclock. I'm still trying to see if something else is the root cause (like a windows update?) but I'm not rolling back to test - that way leads to madness
.

Wow, Great review so far isn't it ? I'll give it a go after I got the .inf file for this one......

It is! But I seem to be the only one so far. The driver is getting panned by fed-up 9xx users now it's three releases and they still do not work as advertised. The pitchforks and burning torches are in preparation, isn't social media wonderful

MickyD, I thought this was a new driver when I saw your title, but it's 344.60 whql, not 344.67 beta like your title says, I'm already on 344.60 whql - it's an alright driver, no changes for me!
-

Yeah, I made a mistake with the title and it seems no way to correct it so I just put it in first line. I'm sure this would have been a beta but the pressure to release a driver that states COD was paramount for NV -
This is what I'm talking about https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/784979/geforce-drivers/344-48-whql-confirmed-issue/ mine is the laptop's primary screen (LG).

I fixed the thread title for you. A moderator can change it on the screen where the list of threads is, but changing it in the opening post doesn't work.
Works well for me also. -

So, a warning for 120hz users with a newer GPU? I'm watching the driver thread but didn't think all the monitor incompatibilities were going to affect us!
Glad I have the SEC5044, then again, NV might be able to break it next time around, give them a chance....
This DSR sounds great when it works but NV should be clearer in their release notes that it is very much a beta and a work-in-progress
.
Thanks so much, I knew you could do it but didn't want to bother you - I might need to one day haha
.
-
Wait, DSR is working for you? I thought it isn't supported on mobile GPU's yet.

No I didn't mean to imply I've seen it but it is in the product roadmap so rather than mess everyone up while they get it stable they stick with the latest desktop cards only. It is slated to work back to Fermi cores but how well they will work rescaling we will have to wait and see. At least you get to turn AA almost off which is a GPU hog.
Nvidia release 344.60 WHQL.
