Hey guys, i'm new to the site and could really use some help. I'm attempting to OC my m17x-R2 with 5870 CF, and i'm following these instructions, which seem to be applicable to my situation: Alienware M17x w/ATi 4870 info thread!

So i've flashed my BIOS onto a usb stick and i'm trying to edit it using RBE, but i'm getting this error message--"Unable to find overdrive settings. Maybe your card simply does not support overdrive". My question is, do any of you knowledgeable folks know a way around this? Or might I be find a different BIOS that would be more friendly in RBE? Thanks in advance

dont worry about it, just click OK. RBE works fine. Every user of R2 have the same message popping out.
Then you can edit the clocks and save the bios to a pen drive and flash it.

Now worries then, edit the clocks and flash it.
