Received it yesterday and i am blown away by the quality! way better then my XPS m1730

first thing i did was update bios to A09 as i have 940xm extreme and then installed 3Dmark06. No OC CPU/GPU i got 17288 3DMARKS.
Installed Blackops patch 4 (No OC GPU/CPU) and getting 60/85 fps.
The RGBLED screen is truly the best screen i have seen & the colour pops out of the screen. No issues with my unit so far & no charging problems.

Has anyone got the link for using throttlestop to overclock etc

Cool I get mine soon I'm excited!! When did you order? Also any deAd or stuck pixels? Does aw have a 100% deD/stuck pixel guarantee? Coming from a MacBook pro 17 I'm having nightmares of turning on my new aw on and finding bad pixels and getting freezes and crashes lol.

Btw your thread is useless without pics !!!!

Is it just me or is this score a bit on the low side for a 940xm with 3dmark as stock? - i aint bubble bursting here but shouldnt it be like almost 20k stock afaik.....seen other people say thats what they get as stock.....my 840 setup gets 16.5k.....doesnt seem right ???? - with those specs above, i would have expected ALOT more as a stock run on 3dMark 06 but maybe im wrong?

Other than that...nice system man, im glad your well pleased with it as you should be !!!!!...they are great!

I dont think you should have to do that really but if you can get it to almost 20k without OC then that wouls sound more concurrent with the spec to me....

Amazing system you got there.....one heck of an M17x

with nvidia cards 20k without oc is not gonna happen.

i barely made over 20k with 5870's on 5% bios overclock with the same cpu and ram.

I guess what i have seen regarding stock scores for this kinda system is based in those with AMD 5870's and not Nvidia....if the Nvidia's wont score as well, then I guess that the OP's latest score above is pretty much on par for his gpu's eh? ;)

Awesome score mate, its on par with my desktop that runs an E8500@4,25ghz plus a slightly oced GTX260 SOC sp216.

Oh well, too bad i cant swap this xps for an alienware, the international warranty is expired, plus is refurb, and it doesnt have any problem lol.
So jealous, but soooo happy to see you...ehm...happy again, after all the "pissed-off" moments you've been thru with dell.

Mate, enjoy your new beast! Congrats!
