    So my AW17 came with a 80GB MSATA SSD. I also have a 256GB MX100 and a 512GB MX100.

How would you guy set this up? OS on one drive, crap on the other? Just use the one big 512GB SSD and sell the others?

Hi, the 80gb SSD is usually used as a cache for a mechanical drive. If all are SSD's then I would install the OS to the 80GB (as that is the trickiest to remove) and use the 512mb for games and apps. Really depends on how you use it as to whether you separate games and apps or just use the one big drive for all.

    my 2 cents
i would suggest you to install OS on the 512GB drive and also use it for games
sell you 265GB and get a large hdd, 2tb perhaps and use 80gb ssd for caching

512 i suppose is enough for 2-4 games at a time along with OS
for other needs you will have the larger drive, albeit it will be slower than ssd

just some suggestions only, your requirements and usage pattern may differ from mine
i use 500gb evo 840 for OS and games and the 750gb hdd+32gb msata ssd for cache for rest of the stuff

I agree with both MickyD and Rjtnag.
For a faster loading time of the OS - install it on the SSD.
Keep the 512GB for storage (Or if you can sell both 256GB and 512GB and get a 1TB or 2TB HDD). That would be great.

Either way, let us know what are your plans with this computer, maybe there's something we aren't taking into account that fits your needs.

All three are SSD's. Only difference is the size.
