This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Odd Reboot glitch

    After trying to install a new SSD (see this thread), my computer does this really weird thing: if I reboot the system, it will initially only go past the bios screen and not into windows.

    After turning it off and then back on, it will progress straight into windows without delay.

    It doesn't matter how many times I do it, or how I turn it off- I always have to boot the thing twice.

    Weird. Bios settings, somewhere?
