Why can I not get any icons to go where the green box is shown? Of course if I uncheck align icons to grid I can put them there but I like them to be perfectly spaced....it satisfies the OCD in me. :D

And yea I went on an AlienFX theme downloading spree :D

Yea that is weird. That's the ONLY column I can put an icon in the lower area. Every other icon, if I drag it down that low, when I let it go it snaps up into place in the same row as the Civ icon. For example, the 3 monitoring app icons on the left, If i tried to drag them lower they'd snap back into place where they currently are.

    Its bugging me...

hmm, do you have any kind of desktop enhancement stuff going on ? Windows Blinds/stardock or whatever ?
what if you revert to a default windows theme, does that happen too ?

i have the same thing on my desktop except on the 2 column. over on the right side i always thought you couldn't put icons there because of the system tray notifications. could be wrong though.

Nope nothing custom. Just Windows Aero enabled.

I just did the ATI driver update and vbios update available on Dell and now I can put an icon down there...but ONLY if there's one above it. For example I could move GPU-Z below CPU-Z but couldnt just move GPU-Z directly down.

    Odd isnt it?

Um, could be a stoopid question, but you DO have Auto Arrange off right? I have Auto off and Align to Grid on.
