    Ok Ive tried everything I need more suggestions. (Graphics Driver Problems)

    A little background: I was updating the driver on my Alienware M17x r3 (6990m) to the 11.8 drivers. I was running the Dell drivers before I upgraded. The upgrade went fine, however, I later found out that the 11.8 drivers cause the Star Wars: The Old Republic beta to not load. So I uninstalled the driver in an attempt to go back to the Dell driver. I uninstalled, booted into safe mode and ran a driver remover.

    Now I am unable to install ANY version catalyst driver. I have tried the Dell driver, I have tried 11.7, I have tried 11.8, I have even tried a modified catalyst driver created by someone (each try I uninstall the driver, boot into safe mode and clean all left over driver remnants.) I have also tried updating the Intel driver, and also following ALL of the steps others have tried and posted about. The Dell drivers give me an installation error when trying to install the driver; all other parts of the catalyst software install with no issues. The 11.7, 11.8, and modified driver don't even detect the card; I assume this is because the integrated Intel card is running. I CANNOT get the laptop to switch to the 6990m. I have even tried the above steps with the integrated card disabled in the BIOS! I still have the same issue.

    I don't want to have to respawn the computer just to get it to work! Is there any advice anyone can give me!? Thanks!
